Dreaming of a white Christmas

   

      When I was a little girl I liked to imagine what the house of my dreams would be like. I would spend hours drawing and imagining every single detail. Now that I remenice on those days I realize how much that house of my dreams has changed while I no longer think that the slide to go down from the second floor is necessary. I still managed to keep some of my imaginary pieces I've always imagined a white sectional couch and a lovely piano I most likely never will have all that I want in the house of my dreams but I will at least try to go for the things that I know are within reach.

     I'm talking about accessories and decorations that make home feel like it's worth a million bucks! (At least to me)
But with out actually spending a million bucks. I've always loved ZGALLERY I mean if I had the money to blow I would buy everything from the gorgeous white sectional of my dreams to all the gorgeous rugs, pillows, I mean everything that they have is just so glamorous. While I do own a few pieces of their wonderful furniture it's always hard to complete the look without going over your budget. If you are anything like me I'm always on the hunt for similar things that can resemble what I love from other places in my case ZGALLERIE is one of my inspirations for decor ideas. Of course looking through Pinterest is always a must for collecting ideas. I've always loved making things I'm a big DIY'er as long as it doesn't involve using heavy tools.

     So with Christmas just around the corner I've started brainstorming for ideas. Here lately I have been obsessed with feathers. They are so soft, gentle and elegant they look so glamorous and there's even some that are covered in glitter and look oh so lovely! However they are a bit pricey depending on where you buy them. As a matter of fact I've obssesed over feathers so much that I have been making some out of paper. They are so easy to make and they are so cute!

Here's two that I made I plan on making a few more in white to incorporate with the rest of my white Christmas decor.

    This year my Christmas theme will be a white feathered Christmas. Here are some of my ZGALLERY inspirations.

I don't know why but I've been wanting some furry owls since I saw the ones at ZGALLERY and just the other day I happened to come across this ones at Jo-Ann's for less than $20 I bought 4. And I love them! The white feathered wreath and tree I made myself out of some white feathered boas. They also have a tree like shaped foam and wreath that you can just wrap around and glue.I think they turned out pretty cute! 

     

This glass bottles I have been saving for projects and I've decided to just spray paint them put glitter and feathers. Also pulled the glue gun out to write a few ho,ho,ho's around one and draw some snow flakes. I seriously have too much fun with just paint, glitter glue and anything crafty. House Decor Inspirations

Hello to anyone out there who might be reading this :) today's blog is actually a project I worked on last summer. I have always had a fascination with mermaids and so the color of the curtains was inspired by that. First off  I was shopping around for house decoration's I typically like to redo my decor by changing table place mats, rugs, switch pillows, picture frames and photos, table center pieces every now and then depending on what the occasion might be at the time. Thanksgiving, Christmas's, Halloween, a particular themed party etc. But that particular day I ran across a gold mermaid. I loved it at first glance it was not what I wanted but I knew I could make it it work. So I bought it with the idea in mind that I was going to hand paint it and have it look just the way I wanted.  Well painting it was a bit more work then i was expected and I loved the end results. And so it all took off from there I was in the hunt for mermaid things that would match my turquoise theme. I bough a few bags of turquoise base fillers and filled them up some where shaped like a fish so it was perfect ( I thought) and also bough a few blue bases. I also love the color of coral combined with turquoise so I found a few coral flowers and other frames to try to incorporate it. Everything was sorta coming together but I knew there was something missing. I've always been aware that curtains make a big statement I mean they take up so much room on the wall so yeah  they better be making a statement. And so I shopped around looking for some that would compliment what I already had but nothing seemed to truly be what I wanted. I wanted that darker turquoise and so I decided to make them myself I was a bit worried that it wouldn't work out but I didn't care its all about giving it a try. And I'm glad I did they didn't turn out perfect but they looked awesome at least in my eyes. Every other guest that I had seemed to like them as well. It was a pop of color and it really made my dinning room look so lively and cheerful! I think it was a win and it all started because of a mermaid. I wonder what I will get in to next!
